Staying up to date
As time goes by, I seem to be neglecting my blog more and more. It’s not that I don’t have anything to say, it’s just better to leave things unsaid. Granted I do tend to get into a few “political” frays on Facebook but who really listens? Facebook has been nice to keep up with a few lost friends but for the most part it can be rather depressing to see what the world is coming to (although it does help keep my researching skills honed).
The “move to Montana” code phrase is being replaced with “buy an island”. Philosophical conversations about going back in time, bring out all the various movies (and books) that touch upon all the “what ifs” but I play the devil’s advocate asking “what does that say about the path you choose and the people on it?” I remember the first science fiction book that touched upon the subject was A Wrinkle in Time. Goodness, how old was I when I read that? I wonder if the that book would be banded today because of the allusions to Christian theology?
In the mean time, I’ll at least try and make sure all the back end code for the blog is up to date and try not to wish too much for a time before cell phones (since I’ve had a rash of spam phone calls for loans and texts for sales which can make if difficult to discern the legit messages from the junk).
Keep on, keepin’ on – Les
Thank You Pat
I didn’t attend the University of Tennessee but I have grown to love all things Vols to the point, I was the Secretary/Treasurer for the local alumni association. It was during one of the events I was assisting with that I had the honor and privilege to meet Pat Summitt. I was able to get a couple of pictures with her before the crowd rolled in. And boy did she ever draw a crowd.
Thank you Pat!
